Stemming from a history of thatching, skep making and countryside management, beekeeping has been a natural development of our subsistence across generations. Meridian Apiaries began as a small collection of hives located directly upon the meridian line, here at home. The family hobby soon expanded; we now have apiaries throughout the county – catering for agricultural pollination, queen breeding, production of honey and recently, the development of our very own beekeeping courses.
The courses are a result of all the mistakes we have made throughout the years. Our aim is to enable anyone interested in keeping bees to be able to access the craft with a practical, competent knowledge base; bypassing most of the errors commonly encountered, in a friendly, supportive and affordable fashion.
All our apiaries and courses are managed and run by the family; sharing and explaining what we have learned is right at the centre of our mindset; helping to create better beekeepers.
